Good News…

Wednesday, April 27th, 2005

Date: 27 April 2005

Time: 1708hrs (KUL)

It has been 2 weeks since i found out that i was 5 weeks 2 days pregnant. It was definitely an unexpected news as we have been trying to conceive for some time now. We did the test at Dr. Delaila’s clinic as i was afraid of dissapointment if the test turns out negative. Alhamdullilah, Allah has answered my prayer and i am so happy that i am actually stepping into another phase of life.

Dear Hubby was so excited. The moment he stepped out from the doctor’s room, he was busy sms’ing almost everyone in his phonebook LOL. So much for keeping it discreet until the 3rd month. Anyway, dad and mum was very thrilled as well. They deserve some consolation after what dad has to go through in London. More the reason to be in Malaysia when my child is born. Mum told me that Dad is thinking of getting his first grandchild a stroller from MacLaren. Gosh! I have a longer way to go but then again they are as excited as i am so let them be.

I will be going for another check-up this Friday insya-Allah to check out for the heartbeat. I hope everything is fine. There was an article in Babycenter.com and it said that the first heartbeat you hear is one of the happiest and most emotional moment while expecting. How i can’t wait for Friday…

Time to snack some digestives crackers before my stomach gets very gassy… More news and development to come soon…

p/s: check out my photo album frequently as i will upload all the interesting pictures online.

Pizza for lunch today

Monday, April 11th, 2005

I have just finished my lunch, department lunch to be exact. We are trying to organize this department event every month where we get together and talk about non-work related stuff and celebrate birthdays. The boss pays for the lunches and the birthday cakes. I had organized today’s event and i hope others will organize the next one. The pizza was ok. We got the pizzas from the nearby Pizza place in Streetmall. Nothing fancy, the usual pepperoni and turkey ham pizzas but the vegetarian pizza was interesting. I mean i have had vegetarian pizza when i was in States but this one looked and tasted good as well. The brocolli and cut brinjals looked fresh. Yeah, they actually had brocollis and brinjals on the pizza ;)

Sharks! My boss just asked me about my timesheet. I will have to get back to work.

It’s Monday again.. a wet Monday

Sunday, April 10th, 2005

A wet Monday morning 11/04/05 (1054hrs): After my last blog entry, i have forgotten on how to get back here. Fortunately, a friend has sent me her new blog to view and i managed to get the URL to this very page.

I have been wanting to share my pictures i have taken recently however, i couldn’t find the time to upload the pictures from my dad’s digital camera. I will try to make a mental note on this for tomorrow.

It’s 1 month 7 days to go and still counting before i leave for my very first holiday this year to London to visit my parents. The furthest i have been since i came back from the States was Philippines and Indonesia. I am so looking forward to this trip and i will be taking a flight to Amsterdam from London to visit my uncle and aunt. Unfortunately (or fortunately??) my husband, Fahmi will be leaving earlier because he cannot take longer leaves.. or so he claims. It’s actually he’s so committed to his work and he feels bad for leaving it behind :p

What i want to do in United Kingdom besides visiting my parents, i want to visit my friends: Shah & his wife, Fay; Nurms and not forgetting my cuz Shikin and her new bf, Brian. I will be travelling to Birmingham to visit Shikin for few days before she follows me back to London. This is definitely after my trip to amsterdam and fahmi back to M’sia. I want to visit the places i have visited when i was a kid and reminisce the moments. I want to feed the pigeons, take loads of pictures of Big Ben and London Bridge and hoping to meet Mr. Bean?? LOL.

What i want to do in Amsterdam?? Of course to visit the famous Red Light District. When i was a kid, i wasn’t allowed to join the adults to all these places. Now i am even allowed to check out the Peep Show!! LOL Call me a pervert or "jakun" but i know deep down inside everyone has the same curiosity :p Che Yan told me that by the time i reach Holland, the tulips season has just ended. No worries, i will take pictures of the windmills then and the cloak(sp?) shoes etc.

OK.. will take a break and get back to work. Will continue if i have some more spare time.
